Two days after saving his team against AC Milan, Thibaut Courtois is rumored to be a Real Madrid target for next summer. Spanish diary Diario As reports this Thursday that Florentino Pérez and José Ángel will talk with Chelsea manager José Mourinho about the young keeper. As says that Mourinho still has a good relationship with Real's board, and that could help the potential deal.
Furthermore, Courtois doesn't want to join Chelsea and be Peter Cech's backup. Whether that means that he will never rejoin the London-based club remains to be seen, but he has such a big potential that other European powerhouses will surely go after him. Aged 21, Courtois already is one of the world's greatest goalkeepers, so his transfer would not be cheap.
Diego López and Iker Casillas have reached their ceiling already, so Real Madrid will probably try to find a young goalkeeper soon. If that young goalkeeper is Thibaut Courtois, the Spanish club will have that spot covered for at least one decade.
