Arbeloa, Carvajal Out Of Spain's List to Face Italy

Vicente del Bosque left the two starting right backs for Real Madrid out of his list. Casillas, Alonso and Sergio Ramos were called up.

Álvaro Arbeloa and Daniel Carvajal are good enough to start for Real Madrid, a club which is competing to win the treble. But they are not good enough to play for Spain's national team, apparently. Vicente Del Bosque decided to leave both defenders out of his list.

Carvajal is yet to make his International debut, but one could expect that he would replace Arbeloa if Real's number 17 was to miss the call. And yet, Del Bosque decided to include Atlético's Juanfran or Chelsea's Azpilicueta. Whether this means that Arbeloa will not be listed to play in the 2014 FIFA World Cup remains to be seen, as Del Bosque could be searching for a solid backup in that right back position.

Still, if Arbeloa, Carvajal and Diego López stay out of the list, Vicente Del Bosque will be leaving out three starters of the team that is top of the table in the Liga BBVA.
