Bad news for Real Madrid, Jesé Rodríguez left an irrelevant game against Schalke 04 on a stretcher and he's currently going to a hospital to confirm a suspected ACL injury on his right knee. The injury was not intentional, but that kind of tackle in the third minute wasn't needed since the tie is not on the line and even some Schalke players admitted that they were not thinking about a potential comeback. Gareth Bale replaced Jesé Rodríguez with Ancelotti crossing his fingers.
With Morata missing open chances the way he is right now, Isco will likely be Real's 12th man off the bench in case more injuries come our way. Jesé was not going to start El Clásico anyway, but his presence off the bench will surely be missed soon enough.
If the ACL injury is confirmed, Jesé could be back with the team next October.
The club will report his injury as soon as the tests are released. We wish Jesé Rodríguez a quick recovery.
UPDATE via Real Madrid source 21:43 CET: Jesé is still at the Santiago Bernabéu. didn't leave to a hospital just yet. The club doesn't know how serious his injury is.
