As unfortunate news broke that Marcelo has a tear in his hamstring, Carlo was asked about his options at LB to go along with Fabio Coentrao.
"We have a good replacement for Marcelo, Coentrao has the experience and he's fresh for this game. There is no change. Coentrao has the same work as Marcelo."
He also dismissed the idea of Gareth Bale playing as LB and suggested Nacho, Varane, Ramos and even Carvajal as likelier options.
On the team and the atmosphere in Madrid that Carlo is hoping for:
"The atmosphere is good, we are motivated. We are very excited by Champions League. We look forward to this competition, so far we have done very well. We are the only team that has not lost in this competition and the team is ready to give one hundred percent. The team is ready, and when I said the atmosphere is good I meant the fans will make a good atmosphere too and they will help us."
On CR's knee and the booing he heard on Saturday.
"Cristiano's knee is fine, better than last Saturday's game, He's motivated, the whistles are forgotten... Explanation of the whistles to Cristiano last match? He didn't pass the ball to another player, Cristiano is giving it all."
While BvB may be a wounded club considering their injury list is a mile long, Carlo still has the utmost respect for them.
"Klopp is doing a fantastic job. I admire him very much, he's done very well last year playing the final of the Champions League. He is also a very good coach who prepares the team tactically very well. Dortmund is missing an important player who is Lewandowski but their style is the same as the last year. Aubemeyang, I know him, because he was in the Milan's youth and was doing great, he's fast. The balance is a very important component tomorrow, because Dortmund are very dangerous team."
So what kind of game should we expect tomorrow?
"The team is very well physically. We're going to try to play a game with great intensity, we need to do this to find offensive solutions. I am not worried because what we need is just that, not slowing down."
Finally, we all know the pressures and expectation that come with the managerial job for Real Madrid. Carlo's thoughts on it, as well as contending for the treble:
"Now it's hard to say who is the favorite to win the Champions League. Each game is important, we cannot think of another game. We're concentrating on facing Dortmund, not the Copa final. It's a key point in the season, things have not changed, we are motivated for La Decima."
