Real Madrid vs. Barcelona, 2014 Copa del Rey Final: This is Why I love Real Madrid

A truly epic goal by Gareth Bale almost brought me to tears in the stadium

David Ramos

Thank you, Real Madrid. Thank you, Carlo Ancelotti. This was an unbelievable experience. To have the match essentially lost since Barcelona equalized and then win it back thanks to that kind of goal is an experience I will never forget.

Ancelotti got his 4-4-2 formation spot on. Yes, they had their chances and we got lucky with that post by Neymar. But Isco Alarcón's match was not going to be a loss. The Spanish playmaker showed how unbelievably good he is. He is a player for the ages.

The team's effort as a whole should also be noted. For the first time in the season, the team delivered against a top team. And they did it big time and without the world's greatest player. From Casillas to Varane and the rest of the squad who participated in this Copa del Rey edition, thank you.

Hala Madrid, and thank you all for this. We are the champions. Onto the Champions League.
