Ángel Di María will not play today's match against Borussia Dortmund. He has finally been left out of the list because of a gastroenteritis. Real Madrid announced the news via the official website, reporting that Castilla player José Rodríguez has joined the list to fill Di María's void.
Therefore, Carlo Ancelotti will likely play Asier Illarramendi in that three-man midfield, with Alonso and Luka Modric. While some fans would like to see Isco -who wouldn't?-, the Italian coach has not been trusting him much, and it doesn't seem very likely that he will start doing it now, in the first leg of the Champions League Quarterfinals.
Di María should be available for Saturday's game against Real Sociedad though. He has been very valuable this season and his absence against Dortmund could harm los blancos, because Illarramendi is not the same kind of player. Di María missed the game against Sevilla and Real Madrid lost 2-1.
