Europe's biggest stage and Luka Modric did not disappoint, even though he struggled a bit during the last few months. Modric has been one of Real Madrid's most important players this season and is arguably having the best year of his career. In that 4-3-3 formation, Modric is having freedom to create and also protection from his teammates. Ancelotti has found him a proper position and role and yesterday he was crucial against Bayern Munich. In fact, Real Madrid's brilliant second half was in part due to Modric's performance. Alonso and Isco were brilliant too and that allowed Real Madrid to control the midfield for most of the second half. It will be a much different game in Germany, that's for sure, so Modric and his teammates will need to play even better in order to get the ticket to Lisbon and play to win La Decima this season. It's all on their hands now.
