Only a few days after being named the Champions League Final MVP, Ángel Di María has spoken with Marca about his future. The Argentinian player appeared to be out of Real Madrid for most of the first half of the season but then his performances as a midfielder found him a key spot in Ancelotti's formation. Whether that was a provisional solution or his future position in the club is yet to be seen, because it seems that the right wing will be all Gareth Bale's.
I'm calm and all I'm thinking about is the World Cup. We'll see what happens about Real Madrid if they want me to stay or not. I'm happy, I played really well this year and the people noticed it. Even if you want to stay, sometimes the club wants to bring another player and then needs to sell. And someone has to leave. But I'm happy. I know there are a couple of teams that want me and they have enough money to get me, but I think my year was good enough to stay with Real Madrid for a long time. I just want to know what will happen with me before the World Cup kicks off.
So basically Di María seems to know Real Madrid want to sign a midfielder. Furthermore, Isco should be getting more minutes in that position. The club will need to make a decision, because Di María will aim to play good minutes next year.
