Spanish diary Marca caught Florentino Pérez and Carlo Ancelotti having lunch on Friday, and according to the paper, the meeting was held to agree on what Real Madrid needs this transfer market. And apparently, both men agreed that a midfielder should be the top priority, with Marca also having "We need few, but let them be good!" on the frontpage.

And it's true that Real Madrid need a midfielder, even with Khedira back on the team after a torn ACL. Alonso is not getting any younger and Asier Illarramendi might not have the coaching staff's trust, so the same problem is haunting Real Madrid again: find a proper replacement for Xabi Alonso. That said, with Modric and Di María playing really well and Isco learning the position, Real Madrid should not be desperate in the transfer market. Pogba is the man in terms of potential and versatility, but the board should not be spending a lot of money on any player.
