Never give up. That's like Real Madrid's motto. When La Liga seemed pretty much over, Cristiano Ronaldo's goal gave his team a small chance. If Real Madrid win all three matches, Ancelotti's side need Atlético to lose one out of two matches (Málaga at home or Barcelona away). The problem is Barcelona still need Real Madrid to drop points once in order to stand a chance, so their intensity in that decisive game could not be what some Real Madrid fans expect. Furthermore, there are questions about Barcelona's ability to beat Atlético. They've faced Simeone's side five times this season and they've yet to get a win.

All things considered, Real Madrid lost a big opportunity against Valencia, but at least Ronaldo's goal kept them alive until the very last minute of the Camp Nou game between Barcelona and Atlético. That's if we manage to win all three games.
