UEFA have chosen their referee for the Champions League Final. Björn Kuipers from The Netherlands will be the man in charge of what will surely be a rough game between the two Madrid sides. Kuipers officiated the 2013 UEFA Europe League Final between Benfica and Chelsea.
Kuipers is a discipinarian who tends to show a good number of yellow cards. For example, during the game between Manchester United and Olympiakos, the Dutchman booked seven players. This is good news for Real Madrid, as Atlético will undoubtedly play with their trademark aggressive style.
He's been the referee for three other Champions League games this season. PAOK - Schalke (qualifying round), Manchester City - Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund - Arsenal; he officiated all three of these matches without a controversial call. This will be the biggest game he's ever called.
We wish him good luck for the Champions League Final and hope he has no negative influence over the final score.
