Real Madrid academy player Diego Llorente has replaced Raphäel Varane on the team list to play against Valladolid this Wednesday. According to the club, Varane has small problems on his right leg, and they have not confirmed if those problems are related to his previous knee injury or not.

Varane has not been getting a lot of minutes this season, and he hasn't been playing that great when he's been on the field. Furthermore, Pepe and Ramos are playing one of their best seasons, so Varane will likely need to wait for the next year to fight for that starting spot.

One way or another, Varane will be included on France's list to play the 2014 FIFA World Cup, and he's aiming to be a starter for coach Didier Deschamps. This will be Varane's first tournament with France and it will be interesting to see his performances. Expectations are always high with him.
