The current world champions start their quest for their second title today. Spain faces the Netherlands in the Estadio Fonte Nova, in Salvador de Bahía, for the first time since 2010, when they were the final contenders in Johannesburg for the 2010 World Cup.
The Netherlands, conducted by Louis van Gaal, have an all-new team full of youngsters, but they still count on the experienced De Jong, Sneijder, Van Persie and Robben. On the other hand, Vicente del Bosque has introduced a few minor changes, but the style and the names are pretty similar to the ones that made Spain earn their first star on their chest.
Iker Casillas, Sergio Ramos and Xabi Alonso are in the lineup, so we will see all of our players tonight. Sneijder and Robben, who also played for us a few years ago, will start for the Netherlands.
Spain's starting XI: Casillas; Azpilicueta, Piqué, Ramos, Alba; Busquets, Alonso, Xavi; Iniesta, Silva, Diego Costa.
Netherlands' starting XI: Cillessen; Janmaat, De Vrij, Vlaar, Martins Indi, Blind; De Jong, De Guzmán, Sneijder; Van Persie, Robben.
