It's Sunday, June 15, 2014. And there are three matches in Brazil.

Some wonderful matches are on today with two of the possible favourites for the cup playing: Argentina (against Bosnia Herzegovina) and France (vs Honduras).

With their fairly easy group and comfortable playing venues, Argentina are many writers' picks to be champions next month. France, with a young and exciting team, have braved the drones and will also be challenging with an eye to success in 2016 at the Euros.

Switzerland vs Ecuador

Switzerland XI: Benaglio; Lichtsteiner, Von Bergen, Djourou, Rodríguez; Inler, Behrami; Shaqiri, Xhaka, Stocker; Drmić.

Ecuador XI: Domínguez; Paredes, Guagua, Erazo, Ayoví; A.Valencia, Gruezo, Noboa, Montero; E.Valencia, Caicedo.

FT: Switzerland 2-1 Ecuador

France vs Honduras

France XI: Lloris, Debuchy, Evra, Varane, Sakho, Cabaye, Valbuena, Benzema, Griezmann, Matuidi, Pogba.

Honduras XI: Valladares, Figueroa, Bernardez, Emilio, Palacios, Bengtson, Costly, Espinoza, Najar, Garrido, Beckeles.

France 3-0 Honduras.

Argentina vs Bosnia Herzegovina

Bosnia Herzegovina XI: Begovic, Bicakcic, Spahic, Kolasinac, Besic, Pjanic, Misimovic, Dzeko, Mujdza, Lulic, Hajrovic.

In progress.

Of particular interest to this community today will be Angel di Maria, playing for Argentina and almost certain to start. Also, Karim Benzema and Raphael Varane for France.

We wish them lots of luck today and a healthy and injury-free time.
