The newspaper As is reporting today that Barcelona's player Joey Dorsey was racially abused by fans during a match between the Real Madrid and Barcelona basketball teams during the first match of the finals of the Endesa League.

The evidence came to light because of an amateur video showing Dorsey on the bench with the crowd chanting. One Real Madrid socio can clearly be seen taunting the player by imitating a monkey. The American turned to glance at the crowd shouting behind him, and had to be reassured by his teammates.

Real Madrid is cooperating fully with the police, has handed over all video evidence and will be banning the fan or fans when they are identified.

Racism in football has been addressed before in this community, and it is distressing to learn that basketball players are also targets at their games. Good luck to Real Madrid and to the police as they attempt to identify, arrest, fine and ban the guilty parties.

As's report on the incident can be read at the link.
