BeIN Sports reported last night on their live broadcast of the World Cup that Radamel Falcao has signed for Real Madrid. Even though they don't have such report on their website or Twitter account, Spanish TV show El Chiringuito de Jugones apparently contacted a BeIN Sports journalist who confirmed the report. As also confirms the deal.
The Colombian striker wants to leave Monaco after spending one year in the not-so-competitive French Ligue 1. This deal would be much cheaper than the one involving Luis Suárez, but Real Madrid would still have two star strikers on the roster, something that is not exactly great for Karim Benzema. Still, Falcao would offer a Plan B to Real Madrid's attacking system. He's capable of playing on the air.
Still, Falcao's commitment to the sport can be questioned. After all, he left Atlético de Madrid to join a Monaco side that only offered him more money. He's gone through a serious knee injury and one has the right to wonder if this would be a good move for Real Madrid.
