Carlo Ancelotti approves Luis Suárez's signing

The Italian coach wants to keep Benzema anyway.

Althoug Marca reported that Florentino Pérez and Carlo Ancelotti agreed that Real Madrid's main priority should be a midfielder, the Spanish paper have Luis Suárez on their frontpage today. According to their information, Florentino Pérez asked Ancelotti about the Uruguayan striker and the Italian coach approved the potential signing. This means that Pérez has the green light to go after the Premier League's Player of the Year -if he ever needed the green light-.

But there's a crucial apoint about Marca's report as well. Apparently, and even though Benzema has proved that he performs better when he's without rival for his spot, Carlo Ancelotti wants to keep the French striker. He considers Benzema one of his main players in the project.

If Suárez finally signs for Real Madrid, Ancelotti will surely need to make room for him in the starting lineup, whether that means playing with two strikers or not. It seems that this could be yet another long summer.
