It is a well known fact that the 24-year-old German midfielder Toni Kroos ends his contract with Bayern Munich in June 2015, and also that reaching an agreement to renew it is not being easy for Bayern. It has been rumoured that Kroos' most likely destination would be Van Gaal's Manchester United, but the fact that they will not be in the Champions League or even the UEFA Europa League reduces the red devils' appeal.
In the last few days, some Twitter accounts and Spanish media have been reporting that Toni Kroos had requested Bayern Munich to let him go to Real Madrid, and now the German newspaper Bild -which is always a very reputable source about Bayern- claims the negotiations exist and are, in fact, being intensified lately.
If the agreement were to be reached, Real Madrid would have the most versatile and powerful midfield in the world, although I believe it would also cause some of our current players to leave the team. According to our president, Florentino Pérez, Illarramendi will stay, and it seems just impossible that Alonso, Modric or Isco would go. Casemiro seems the most natural choice, but Khedira or, even, Di María would have some possibilities.
