World Cup 3rd Place Open Thread

It's the battle of the teams no one will remember!

Laurence Griffiths

The third place match has come under a lot of fire. Not just recently as Louis van Gaal railed against it, but by managers over the years. It's the match that the majority of viewers don't remember years from now and no one wants to be the team to lose two times in a row before crashing out of the World Cup. The players probably want to just start their vacations and the viewers are all caught up on the final but oh well, here we are.

Brazil will look to bounce back from their 7-1 whoopin' against Sami Khedira and Toni Kroos, while the Dutch will look to swan dive their way into a third place title after suffering defeat at the hands of Leo Messi and his boys from the Shire. Marcelo has the day off so there are no Madridistas to focus on.

Brazil starting XI: Julio Cesar; Maicon, Thiago Silva, David Luiz, Maxwell; Paulinho, Luis Gustavo; Oscar, Ramires, Willian; Jo

Netherlands starting XI: Cillessen; Kuyt, Pretty, Vlaar, Martins Indi, Blind; Clasie, Wijnaldum, Sneijder; Robben, Van Persie

Alrighty then, enjoy the game and happy chatting!
