El Confidencial and As report today that Ángel Di María is close to join Paris Saint-Germain for 60M€. El Fideo wants to leave Real Madrid and play as an offensive winger, something that would not be possible in the Spanish capital considering how well Gareth Bale performed in that position.
Di María's departure would pave the way for Real Madrid to sign Colombian attacker James Rodríguez. According to reports, all those 60M€ would be used to sign James Rodríguez for a reported fee of around 75M€. While James is not better than Di María, the Argentinian's will to leave Real Madrid should be noted.
All things said, Di María's versatility will be replaced with two different players. While Toni Kroos will likely get his spot in the midfield, it's going to be James Rodríguez the one who plays as a backup winger. Unless Carlo Ancelotti decides to change his 4-3-3 formation, James could also be Karim Benzema's backup.
