The World Cup is over (congratulations, Germany!) and so it's time to get back to work. Real Madrid's roster start their pre-season today, in Valdebebas. Carlo Ancelotti, together with his new assistant coach, Fernando Hierro, will meet again with the players who did not take part in the World Cup.

Next Monday, Real Madrid will travel to the USA for their traditional tour, where the players elliminated in the World Cup's group stage (Casillas, Ramos, Alonso, Modric, Pepe, Coentrao and Cristiano Ronaldo) will join the team. Real Madrid will participate in the International Champions Cup and so, they will play against Inter on July 27th, Roma on July 30th and Manchester United on August 2nd. The tournament's final game will be held on August 5th.

Afterwards, Real Madrid will return to Europe to fight for the first official trophy of the season. Cardiff will host the Euro Super Cup, against the UEFA Europa League's Champion Sevilla C.F., on August 12th. A friendly match against Fiorentina in Warsaw, on August 16th, will precede the double clash against the league's champion Atlético de Madrid for the Spanish Super Cup. The pre-season will be closed with the Santiago Bernabéu trophy, a game against River Plate which will serve as a tribute to Alfredo Di Stéfano, in a date still to be confirmed.
