It's Official: Toni Kroos Becomes a Real Madrid Player For 30M€

Toni Kroos officially becomes the first Real Madrid signing for the 2014-2015 season.

Finally, it's official. Toni Kroos is now a Real Madrid player.

Real Madrid just got one of the biggest stars of the past World Cup for 30M€. Kroos's deal makes him a merengue until 2019, and it includes 6M€ annually for the player. He will be presented this Thursday at the Santiago Bernabéu (17:00 CET).

Considering the superb quality of the 24-year old player (which was more than evident in Brazil, as he was a key part in Germany's fourth championship), and considering he played in one of Real Madrid's biggest rivals in Europe, Bayern Munich, this deal is simply fantastic.

While this deal was all but confirmed in the past few weeks, including a non-official confirmation by Franz Beckenbauer, it probably took longer than we all wanted to finally have the official announcement.

This is the first of at least a couple of moves (Keylor Navas and James Rodríguez are the strongest candidates) to be made by Florentino Pérez. Now, let's hope players like Sami Khedira will get a new deal soon.

Welcome to Real Madrid, Toni!
