After a controversial last month of reported rumors about Morata joining Juventus or Wolfsburg, the transfer of the Spanish striker to the Italian club has finally happened. Managing Madrid spoke with Morata's agent, Juanma López, who confirmed that the striker is flying to Turin right now.
Morata has chosen to join Juventus even though La Vecchia Signora already has Llorente, Tévez and Giovinco for two spots, so it becomes quite clear that his priority has not been a starting spot.
To get 18M€ for Morata at this point of his career is simply a great deal for Real Madrid. Morata didn't prove to be experienced enough to contribute when needed, especially in times when Karim Benzema wasn't available. It will be interesting to see if he fulfills his potential, and Real Madrid will be able to buy him back for 30M€ if he finally reaches the elite level. Morata will need some good luck and confidence in order to adapt quickly to the Italian Serie A in what appears to be a Juventus project past its prime.
