Real Madrid and AS Monaco are about to reach an agreement for the transfer of James Rodríguez. One thing seems quite certain: just like we told you, James Rodríguez will play for Real Madrid next season. And apparently, according to Marca, Real Madrid's 75M€-offer is just 10M€ short of what Monaco is asking. That small problem should be solved quite soon, allowing James to join Real Madrid next week, per L'Equipe.

His transfer could be announced as soon as fan-favorite Ángel Di María's departure is confirmed. The Argentinian player doesn't feel valued by the board and reportedly wants to leave the club. Therefore, Di María's place on the midfield will now be Toni Kroos' spot.

It does seem that Real Madrid will not have any long transfer saga this summer. If James Rodríguez signs for los blancos soon, the roster should be all set to start the season after confirming the acquisition of Keylor Navas.
