It's official: Real Madrid sign James Rodríguez

The attacker will be presented at the Bernabéu this evening.

It has been a strange announcement. James Rodríguez passed his medical even before there was an official statement released by Real Madrid, something that it is not usual.

But still, Real Madrid confirmed James Rodríguez's signing shortly after via the club's site. He will be presented at 20:00 CET.

James will be presented at the Santiago Bernabéu this evening, and he will likely wear number 10. He should join Real Madrid's preseason stage at the same time than Benzema and Varane, who got knocked out of the 2014 FIFA World Cup's quarterfinals as well.

James Rodríguez signs a six-year contract with los blancos, who pay close to 80M€ to AS Monaco to acquire the player. Expensive transfer, sure thing, but one that will definitely improve Real Madrid's roster ahead of what will be a very long season for Real Madrid.
