Carlo Ancelotti confirms Casillas will start the UEFA Supercup

Real Madrid's captain will have a good chance to prove he has bounced back from his disappointing Champions League Final and FIFA World Cup.

Just a couple of hours after President Florentino Pérez and José Ángel Sánchez arrived in the team's hotel at Michigan, Carlo Ancelotti confirmed that Iker Casillas will defend Real Madrid's goal during the game that will decide the first title for los blancos.

Iker Casillas will start tomorrow [against Manchester United] and also against Sevilla in the UEFA Supercup.

The Italian coach ruled Cristiano Ronaldo out for the game against the red devils this Saturday [22:00 CET]. The Portuguese star is yet to get match fit after his injuries during the post-season. It will be very important for Real Madrid to have Cristiano Ronaldo in the starting lineup, but it's also true that his spot could be taken by new signing James Rodríguez as well.

Cristiano will not be available tomorrow, and he will return to group training in Madrid, after the US pre-season stage.

The match against Manchester United will be Real's last friendly game in US land.
