Xabi Alonso will sign for FC Bayern this very same Thursday. The Spanish midfielder had reportedly agreed to a contract with Guardiola's club, but now the Bavarian giants announced that a deal with Real Madrid is imminent as well.
Dreesen, FC Bayern's financial director, confirmed the agreement between Alonso and Bayern, while saying that the deal with Real Madrid over the transfer fee should be reached today as well. Matthias Sammer was also quoted saying that Alonso still has "two very good years in him."
Alonso will travel to Munich today to pass his medical before signing his new contract with FC Bayern.
