Official: Real Madrid signs Keylor Navas

It was a done deal some days ago, but it has been made official just now.

Real Madrid have signed a new player. After the incorporations of Toni Kroos and James Rodríguez, the Costa Rican goalkeeper Keylor Navas is Real Madrid's last signing in this summer period.

Keylor, who was considered the best goalkeeper in the last World Cup by many football analysts, comes to Real Madrid to fight for a spot with Iker Casillas and Diego López, although we will most likely see one of these leaving the team before August 31st. Apparently, it is Diego the one who is closer to going out, but perhaps Casillas' awful performance against Manchester United last night can change Florentino's mind.

Navas, who is already twenty-seven years old, joins Real Madrid for the next six seasons. Coming from a small team like Levante, it is his first appearance in a top-class club, but his first season in La Liga and his brilliant World Cup are great arguments in his favour. We wish him the greatest luck in Real Madrid.
