PSG President: "We've stopped the negotiations over Di María"

Al Khelaifi says the Argentinian is "too expensive"

Ángel Di María wants to join Paris Saint-Germain, that's mostly clear. And PSG would like to sign the Argentinian winger. But UEFA Financial Fair Play is making things really difficult for the French club. After signing David Luiz for a 50M€ fee, PSG need to sell some players before spending more than 70M€ on Di María in order to avoid punishment from the European Association.

This morning, PSG President Al Khelaifi said the following about Di María's situation.

We stopped our negotiations over Di María. He is too expensive.

Wasn't David Luiz too expensive? Real Madrid should not lower Di María's price tag considering how PSG spend summer after summer. The French club are trying to sign Di María on a loan deal this summer and then buy him on 2015. That would mean some problems for Real Madrid. What if he gets seriously injured while playing for PSG?

Real Madrid will only accept that option if PSG are forced to buy the player next summer, whatever happens this season.
