So apparently, López has finally surrendered and will leave Real Madrid even though he's arguably the club's second best goalkeeper after Keylor Navas. Still, Casillas is too important for many fans and Real Madrid did not want to take the risks and get rid of the captain. Therefore, we will have yet another season with a lot of controversy around the goalkeepers, even though Keylor Navas should be the one starting the Champions League and the Liga BBVA.
López will sign a four-year contract.

Diego López's departure has not been announced yet, but it's all but done. AC Milan will not compete in the Champions League this season and it will be interesting to see how Diego López does in the Italian club.
