Halftime Update and Report: Real Madrid destroying Basel 4-1

FC Basel are terrible, and that's mainly why Real Madrid are up 4-1 at HT. Still, Ancelotti's men are playing reasonably well, especially after Nacho managed to score the opener -it was an own goal, but hey, Nacho deserves some praise here-. After that happened, Bale was able to put his name on the score sheet off a brilliant assist by Modric minutes before assisting Cristiano Ronaldo. Later, James scored Real's fourth goal.

Basel still had some fight on them and got a good goal on a counterattack. Iker Casillas has been the main focus of today's match. The fans have whistled him before Real Madrid scored the opener, but later he was cheered and applauded. So it seems that the Bernabéu can't decide what to do.
