Ancelotti tells Casillas he'll play on Saturday

Marca report that the Italian coach has privately told Casillas he will be back in Real Madrid's lineup.

Marca were the first ones to report the news about Keylor Navas starting against Elche. Shortly after, every other Spanish outlet confirmed the news, and now Marca report that Ancelotti has confirmed Casillas that he will be defending Real Madrid's goal against Villarreal. The Spanish daily deserve some credit after their successful scoop on Monday.

According to their piece, Keylor Navas has not given up on his chances to be Real Madrid's starting goalkeeper this season, even though Ancelotti still trusts Casillas. Navas' presence in Tuesday's starting lineup was a reward for the Costa Rican's good word after joining Real Madrid. Ancelotti is impressed with Navas' form in the training session and that's why he decided to include him in the Starting XI.

Ancelotti still refuses to openly talk about this matter, as he considers that "the debate about the goalkeepers is closed". Still, this situation is far from usual. For example, Luis Enrique and Simeone have decided to start Ter Stegen and Oblak in the Champions League --Ancelotti did the same last season-- but the Italian coach gave Navas minutes on a Liga BBVA game, showing that he's not afraid of making rotations in the goalkeeper position.
