Sergio Ramos wants to get a contract extension with Real Madrid. That's well deserved after how well he ended the 2013-14 season, being Real Madrid's hero on the road to La Décima. According to La Sexta's Josep Pedrerol, the talks between Real Madrid and René Ramos --Sergio's brother and agent-- stopped after conquering the Champions League.
Now, Manchester City would be willing to offer Ramos a €10 Million/year deal that would almost double what Ramos is earning at Real Madrid.
Both Real Madrid and Ramos want to get that extension done. Ramos has become essential with los blancos and Pérez knows that most of the fan base would not accept a potential departure of the central defender. That's why both parts will surely reach an agreement sooner rather than later, but the fans will have to bear with these rumors in the meantime. There's no question that Ramos will stay with Real Madrid for many years as he's still young and on his prime, so Manchester City should not expect anything out of this report.
