Just as expected, Cristiano Ronaldo has won the 2014 FIFA Ballon D'Or. This is his third Ballon D'Or award, and his second straight.
It was a long ceremony, and one that ended with Real Madrid's star crowned as the world's greatest player. Some years ago, nobody expected Cristiano Ronaldo to ever win a single golden ball away from FC Barcelona player Leo Messi, but now he is just one award away from the Argentinian player. This Ballon d'Or is the icing on the cake for a successful 2014 by Real Madrid as a club, winning their tenth UEFA Champions League and the Copa del Rey.
Sergio Ramos and Toni Kroos joined Cristiano Ronaldo and represented Real Madrid on FIFA's best XI.
