Marcelo will be ready for the second leg against Atlético

Last Saturday, Marcelo was the man chosen by Carlo Ancelotti to occupy the leftback against Espanyol in the Santiago Bernabéu. After suffering some discomfort in his back during the warm-up, the Brazilian left his spot to Fabio Coentrao, who was sent out in the second half in a controversial decision by the referee.

The red card will make Coentrao miss a game with Real Madrid, and it will depend on the Committee's judgement whether he will be banned against Atlético on Thursday or against Getafe on Sunday, but that should not be a problem for Los Blancos as Marcelo is ready to rock once again. The #12 is fully recovered, as we can infer after seeing him taking part in yesterday's and today's training sessions with the rest of his partners without any trouble. Just like in the Calderón game in last season's La Liga and in the Champions League final, Marcelo will be one of Ancelotti's keys to try the #remontada.
