Toni Kroos was one of Real Madrid's players who attended the Ballon D'Or gala in Zurich, to receive the recognition he deserves as a member of the FIFPro World XI 2014. The Spanish newspaper Marca spoke to him afterwards, therefore giving him a chance to express how happy he is about playing for Real Madrid.

The headline "Kroos ante la remontada" (Kroos facing the comeback) suggests Toni will play against Atlético once again, so Marca don't believe Ancelotti will not rest him just yet. Like Arbeloa, he also believes that the #remontada is possible:

We're going to try to turn things around, of course. It's not going to be easy because Atlético is a great team and the result makes it tough. A 3-1, for example, would mean we are out, but we'll try.

Here are some other remarkable quotes from our beloved #8.

  • I love playing at the Bernabéu. The Real Madrid fans have been really great to me and I'm grateful for that.
  • I am very happy about this award, but it's not the most important thing to me. The most important thing is the team and I'm grateful to my teammates for their efforts.
  • I can still improve and bring even more. I think I've had a few good months, but I've just turned 25, this is not the end.
