  • Toni Kroos has been named the best playmaker in the world in the year 2014 by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS). Our #8, with 110 votes, beat Messi in a very tight race, as the Argentinian got 108. James Rodríguez, with 53 votes, finished in third position.

  • Our coach Carlo Ancelotti got some recognition as well, as he has become a new member of the Italian Football Hall of Fame. After receiving such a prize, he expressed his pride for the fantastic career he has had so far and claimed he is willing to win more trophies with Real Madrid. When asked about Paul Pogba, who is reportedly leaving Juventus in June, he stated that the Frenchman is a great player that could play in any team in the world, but Real Madrid are not interested on signing him.

  • However, Juventus general manager Giuseppe Marotta denied the veracity of Ancelotti's words and even claimed that Real Madrid have got in contact with his team to ask about Paul Pogba. We won't know for a while whether this is true or just a strategy to summon other teams like Manchester United or Chelsea to place their own bids for Pogba.

  • And although this is no tweet, we can give the Tweet of the Day award to Cristiano Ronaldo, who had some time to teach a fan how to do his celebration shout properly after yesterday's victory against Getafe.
