Marcelo and Ramos still questionable for Sunday's match in Mestalla

Friday's training session will be crucial to determine whether Sergio Ramos and Marcelo are fit enough to feature in Mestalla or not.

While Marcelo picked up a muscle injury during Real Madrid's FIFA Club World Cup Final, Sergio Ramos played through some minor physical problems that would have sidelined him had the game been less important. If they finally can't make it, Raphaël Varane and Fábio Coentrao will replace them on Real's defensive line in what will be a huge and tough Liga BBVA game for Los Blancos.

It should be noted that Real Madrid will also play the first Copa del Rey leg against Atlético de Madrid on January 7th, so Carlo Ancelotti might leave both Ramos and Marcelo on the bench against Valencia in order to have them completely ready for the Madrid Derby ahead.
