Cruzeiro vice-president confirms Lucas Silva is set to join Real Madrid

Just a few hours after making the Ødegaard signing official, Real Madrid could announce an agreement with another player at any time. As Cruzeiro vice-president Márcio Rodrigues told ESPN Brazil, the deal between their team, Real Madrid and Lucas Silva will be made public before the day ends.

Rodrigues claims that the deal is done and the official announcement will be made today, despite they have done their best to keep Silva in Cruzeiro, who was decided to take his chance at a great club like Real Madrid and could not be persuaded by any offer they could have made. As we have already reported, this would indicate that Illarramendi will leave Madrid, most likely to Athletic de Bilbao, which should, in principle, also be made public in a few hours.
