As Managing Madrid reported, Real Madrid have officially announced Lucas Silva's signing via an official statement. Real will pay around €13 million to Cruzeiro after a long negotiation between both clubs. Cruzeiro wanted to get €15 million and Real Madrid were offering as much as €12 million, but they finally reached an agreement.
Los Blancos will now need to decide what to do with Asier Illarramendi, who might as well be on his way out of the club. If Illarra refuses to join Athletic Bilbao, Real Madrid could sell Sami Khedira during this transfer market instead, as his contract expires this summer.
