FC Porto midfielder Ruben Neves has been a shocking surprise in the Portuguese Liga ZON Sagres so far. His performances have been so good that big clubs like Liverpool, Chelsea and Real Madrid would like to sign him away from Porto, according to Metro.

Apparently, Neves has a €35 million release clause on his contract and Liverpool would be ahead of Chelsea and Real in the race for the midfielder, per that same report.

Ruben Neves is a defensive midfielder capable of providing a good presence in the midfield. Real Madrid would have that same kind of player in Casemiro already, although the Brazilian also excels when given more freedom to attack and shoot from distance. Neves is a pure defensive midfielder who would help any team's defensive structure but he's probably not good enough for big clubs to pay such an expensive fee for his services. Expect him to leave Porto soon.
