Gareth Bale is out again. After playing 180 minutes with the Welsh national team -- 90 of them were totally meaningless -- the attacker has a calf injury that will keep him out of the pitch for a while, as Real Madrid confirmed today.
The club should definitely expect some kind of apology from Bale. He admitted that Madrid did not want him to play the whole meaningless match against Andorra and yet he insisted and completed the game. Now he will miss two very important games for the club that is paying his salary.
Rafa Benítez and his coaching staff have every reason to feel frustrated about Bale's attitude. It's clear that he did not want to get injured but those 90 minutes did not help his case. Either way, Real Madrid will have to play without him these two matches and Benítez will have to find a replacement for a while.
