A new injured player for Real Madrid.

Mateo Kovacic picked up a muscle injury during Real Madrid's training session at the Parc des Princes last Tuesday. Rafa Benítez confirmed the news and said that he did not feature in the match because it was too big of a risk, and Kovacic will now have to miss Saturday's crucial match at Vigo against Celta, according to COPE.

Therefore, he's replacing his Croatian teammate Luka Modric in the injury list. Modric is now recovered and should be able to start on Saturday, but Benítez could very well decide to deploy all Kroos, Modric and Casemiro in the midfield in order to have better control of the game.

In other news, Karim Benzema was able to rejoin his teammates in today's training session and could be set to start against Celta. It's only a matter of time before Rafa Benítez starts recovering most of his injured players and that will only help his Real Madrid team.
