OFFICIAL: Dani Carvajal's medical report

Dani Carvajal has an injury on his right ankle, Real Madrid confirmed. The player had to leave yesterday's Madrid Derby against Atlético de Madrid and Arbeloa replaced him on the pitch, something that ended up haunting Real Madrid as Atleti scored the equalizer off a mistake by the backup right-back.

With Danilo out as well, Benítez will have to think about his right-back position. It seems that both Carvajal and Danilo could recover fairly soon but until then Nacho might be the one stepping in on the right flank.

Real Madrid decided to improve their depth in the right-back position by signing Danilo this summer. Dani Carvajal is a very decent player but Los Blancos needed to add one more man to their squad in case he got injured, and that has proven to be a good decision after both Carvajal and Danilo got injured during the first two months of competition.
