Real Madrid released the squad list for the first Clásico of the 2015/2016 season.
Real Madrid's squad list
Goalkeepers: Keylor Navas, Casilla and Yáñez.
Defenders: Ramos, Pepe, Varane, Carvajal, Danilo and Marcelo.
Midfielders: Kroos, Casemiro, Isco, Kovacic, Modric, James and Bale.
Attackers: Cristiano Ronaldo, Benzema, Lucas Vázquez and Jesé.
As expected, everyone is healthy and only Arbeloa, Nacho and Cheryshev are not included. It's quite clear that these three men are not as important as the rest of the team and that's why Benítez left them out. Cheryshev will most likely leave the team this January given that some clubs were interested in signing him last summer.
The squad list is not surprising and it allows Benítez to explore different tactics and lineups. For instance, the Spanish manager will have to decide whether Casemiro's presence in the midfield will be beneficial to the squad against a very skilled FC Barcelona midfield that could control the tempo of the game.
