Believe it or not, Copa del Rey time is upon us with Real Madrid set to kick things off versus Cádiz tomorrow at the Estadio Ramón de Carranza. Rafa Benitez spoke of rotations in his presser today and he wasn't joking, as all three members of the BBC have been left off the squad list to recuperate.
But! We might have a chance to see some promising youngsters such as Borja Mayoral get their chance to shine. The squad list is below:
Goalkeepers: Casilla, Rubén Yáñez and Carlos Abad.
Defenders: Pepe, Nacho, Arbeloa, Lienhart and A. Tejero.
Midfielders: James, Casemiro, Kovacic, Cheryshev, Isco and M. Llorente.
Forwards: Jesé, Lucas Vázquez and Mayoral.
It will certainly be interesting to see how an XI of mostly backups and kids fare against Cádiz, but Real Madrid is expected to go through the two-legged affair either way. If things turn sour tomorrow then at least there's the second leg at the Bernabeu to fix things with a much stronger XI.
