The French Football Association has announced that Karim Benzema has been expelled from their national team until he is found not guilty, which means that he could miss the 2016 Eurocup if the judges do not make a decision before next summer.
Benzema has allegedly been involved in the sex tape scandal shaking French football.
The striker is in great form with Real Madrid ever since he recovered from the injury he picked up during a friendly against Armenia. Benzema will spend every FIFA break training with Real Madrid and therefore he will likely be fresher when tough matches come Real's way.
Still, this is surely a tough moment for him as the 2016 Euro Cup will be played in France and Benzema was surely looking forward to play and help his country win the European title for the first time since 2000. Benzema has not spoken about this ban yet.
