Could Real Madrid sell Cristiano Ronaldo and Benzema?

That's what Guillem Balagué says.

"It's easier to fire the coach than selling your stars, but Real Madrid are seriously exploring the possibility of selling Cristiano Ronaldo and Benzema. This doesn't mean they will do it, but they are considering it," said Sky Sports' Guillem Balagué today.

He talked with the readers of Sky Sports and analyzed what's wrong with Real Madrid. "It's easy to blame the coach but the club is a mess, they don't have enough midfielders," he said. One could say that Kovacic and Casemiro spend some time on the bench, so the depth in the midfield position should be good enough, but not for Balagué. "Some players aren't happy with Ancelotti's departure and that's why the team has not played good 90 minutes against tough opposition just yet," added Balagué.

Either way, it seems highly unlikely that Real Madrid will sell Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo this next summer. The Portuguese is on his decline but Benzema is playing the best football of his career and his stock might have dropped after his alleged participation in the blackmail scandal involving Mathieu Valbuena.
