"Zidane will not replace Benítez. No matter what the media say about this, we decide who the coach is and Benítez will not be replaced with Zidane, Mourinho or nobody else. He came to find the answer to a problem and he is part of the solution, not a problem," said Florentino Pérez in an interview with Cadena SER.
"Benítez has credit and he will solve this problem. Last year we also had a big lead in the table and we did not win La Liga, the same can happen this season," added Pérez.
He also explained that he will stay with Real Madrid. "I am not going to leave because we lost 0-4 to Barcelona, I work harder when things go the wrong way. I am not thinking about leaving this club and the situation is different from the time I left in 2006."
All in all, Pérez did not say anything surprising.
