Toni Kroos set to leave Real Madrid next summer?

The German is not happy with his current situation, according to Frederic Hermel.

Toni Kroos hasn't featured a single minute over the last two games played by Real Madrid. The German was a crucial player in Carlo Ancelotti's system last season but he hasn't found that much success under Rafa Benítez, who likes Casemiro's physical presence in the midfield.

That is why Toni Kroos is asking his agent to find him a new team next summer, knowing how difficult it is to find a new home during the winter transfer market. This is according to French journalist Frederic Hermel -- he covers Real Madrid for L'Equipe --. The future is uncertain for Madrid given that nobody knows whether Benítez will stay as the coach or not, so this report by Hermel seems premature.

Kroos signed for Real Madrid in the summer of 2014 and quickly understood how to play as the team's Defensive Midfielder. Overall, his performances last season were great and that should be enough to grant him a place in this Real Madrid system. However, he is not distributing the ball as effectively and Benítez started Casemiro against Villarreal, a game in which Kroos did not play a single minute even with Real down 1-0.
